Day 38 - Taking a step back

I feel like lately I've been kind of bored with taking pictures. The sickness in our house for the past week and a half did not help, mind you. But as I was looking at my pictures, I realized a lot of them are up close and personal on Jonas's face (which I can't help, it's so stinkin cute!), or him playing with his toys, or whatever. So today, I took a step back. I decided to get more in the picture besides just Jonas, and be more creative. We were outside (yay for warm weather!) a lot today, so it was a feasible goal.

Enjoy!

These are the "taking a step back" pictures.

Plus, by getting more in the pic, it will help me to remember what was going on in our subdivision at the time. There's 4 new houses being built, so there's a lot of trucks and construction going on. It gets kinda noisy sometimes.
Bum in the air! Ha ha!

With these pictures, he insisted that I take pictures of him running. One time I stopped to just watch him, and then he stopped and said "take picture". It was funny, so needless to say, I have a bunch of pictures of him running, but I had a hard time deleting them. Oh well.  At least he wants me to take pictures of him. That's good!

These ones are my "trying to be more creative with composition" pictures.

Oh, and I actually took this one last night, but remember how I wanted to work on the summer Haze effect? I tried it again last night, and I think this picture turned out pretty good.

  1. You're doing great! I'm sorry about feeling so yucky lately but at least you'll get through it right?

And the weather is turning beautiful! Great time to get outside. You're right, taking a step back is smart because you can remember little details; the way your house looked or the car you were driving, the landscaping, neighbors, etc.
