Tummy Time and Silly Faces

Jonas is almost 4 weeks (this Thursday)! It's crazy how time flies by so quickly! He's grown a lot - in the tummy and face area, but he's still just as adorable. Lately we've been working on Tummy Time. The pediatrician said to do it 3 times a day for 10-15 minutes each time. I can definitely see the results. He can hold up his head for about 5 seconds when he's on the ground. Then after that he seems pooped from the rigorous exercise. I love watching him when he's on his tummy. He grunts and groans trying to get his head up and move it from side to side. Also, when he's lifting up his head, his legs also go up so he rocks back and forth on his tummy for a bit because his head is so heavy! His neck and back muscles are developing quite nicely. So below are some pictures of him doing tummy time. The funny thing is when my family came over, Jonas was awake so we did tummy time. Everyone was so fixated on him that I thought it was so funny. You can definitely tell he's the first grandbaby/nephew in the family. My mom was the best! She was taking so many pictures of him on his tummy at every angle. She took more pictures than I have taken with all his tummy time's combined. Gotta love it!

Last week Clint was gone at class or something, and I decided that I wanted to capture all of Jonas' funny faces. You see, he shows a lot of expression through his face. I imagine all babies do that, but I don't know. I wanted my brother to see his cute expressions because he is on his mission and hasn't really met him in person yet. But I also wanted to remember all of his cute facial expressions. They are really funny! By the way, I took these all in the same evening (except for the very last pic), so you can see that he shows his expressions daily.

He likes to make his mouth a circular shape.

When he is sleeping, he likes his arms out like this:

When he gets frustrated, or is pooping, his hands fly everywhere and usually he ends up grabbing his face, which makes him mad. He doesn't realize yet that his arms are attached to his body, and they are the things causing so much frustration.

When he is stretching, he lifts up his eyebrows. It's like he's saying "I'm cute, I know it!"

We give him vitamin D drops, and this is his reaction while he laps it up. Believe it or not, he actually likes the drops.
When he's done eating, this is his reaction.

Yawning
He does this whole one eye open, one eye closed thing a lot!
Smiling. Of course he doesn't realize he is.
Eye's wide open!
When we give him his binky, he always manages to flap his arms around, which in turn knocks out the binky. So Clint has this down to a "T": he holds the binky with one finger while he has Jonas hold his other two fingers to keep his arms occupied.

Waking up and getting fidgety. Getting Hungry.
Tired.
Just Chilling and possibly tired.
So there you have it! I love my little boy. Clint and I are enjoying being parents. Jonas makes us laugh and I just love him for it! He's so adorable - a much needed addition to our family.
