Christmas

Christmas was really fun this year.  To start, on Christmas Eve we had a party with Clint's family.  We went to the University of Utah's Institute (Clint's dad works there, so he was able to reserve it), and we opened presents, ate pizza, played pool, air hockey, foosball, & ping pong.  Jonas had a lot of fun.  He opened up his presents from Grandma and Grandpa Stoker.  He got a little tykes car, Christmas pajamas, 2 books and a hex bug that vibrates and moves. So below are pictures of Jonas with his presents and in his car.  Granted, the pictures of him in the car are on Christmas day, after Clint and I had a strenuous time putting it together on Christmas eve.

A picture of Jonas opening up his book from Grandma and Grandpa Stoker!

After church on Christmas day, I was waiting for my brother to Skype us (he's on his mission in Alaska), so I pushed Jonas in his car and he fell asleep in it because he was so tired!  What a sweetheart!  He slept for a good half an hour.
Below is a picture of Clint and his brothers.  Wayne (far right) got a ninja turtles backpack with the eye masks.  So they all wore one - clint is the purple ninja because that was his favorite growing up.  Fun huh?

Afterward the Stoker party, we went to Clint's mom's family party.  There, Jonas was able to sit on Santa's Lap, which he wasn't happy about.  He was very clingy to my for a few days and didn't want anybody but me.  But still, it's cute.

Then on Christmas morning, we woke up around 7:15 (that's when Jonas woke up) and we opened our presents.  Please be aware it was morning, so I look awful - oh well.

So my mom started this tradition when I was 15 years old to help us remember Christ during Christmas.  We only get 3 presents, which represent the presents Jesus received.  Gold, Frankensense, and Murr.  A "Gold" gift is a gift that you want - usually the most expensive.  A Murr gift (green color) is a useful gift, and Frankensense (red) is a meaningful gift.  There's symbolism and stories of why each gift goes along with the useful, meaningful, etc. But I won't get into that now.  So I've carried on the tradition of the 3 gifts as well.  Then we also get stocking stuffers too.

Clint gave me the Harry Potter series - years 1 - 7 for my Gold gift.  Then I got a bike thing where you sit in a chair and put your feet on bike pedals and pedal around.  It'll help my knees since they always hurt, and then for my meaningful gift, Clint and I printed off a book of our first 2 years of marriage that I had digitally scrapbooked.

I got Clint some books for his gold gift, because he was really wanting more books to read.  Then I got him a punching bag for his useful gift (we want to lose weight, he and I, so we're going to use our useful gifts to get into better shape) and then a scrapbook of our first 2 years of marriage.

Jonas got a t-rex and a triceratop stuffed dinosaur for his gold gift.  Some white 12 months onseies for his useful gift, and some bible story board books to look at during church for his meaningful gift.

It was so fun opening presents with my baby boy.  He's so adorable!  We took movies of him opening up his 3 gifts.  Christmas is so much more exciting and fun with a baby!
