My Little One Year Old

Jonas is now one years old!  His birthday was last Saturday.  Because it was General Conference and the Priesthood session in the evening, we had his birthday party on Sunday after General Conference.  We had all the family over from both sides and we opened presents, watched Jonas dig into his cake (that's right, he DUG into it - pictures below) and then we had finger foods and cake and ice cream.  I think pictures tell it best, so enjoy!  He's such a sweetheart and the love of my life (besides my husband).

So this is the little dinosaur cake that my mom made for Jonas to dig into.
This is the cake that I made so everyone could have some cake.  z
These are pictures of Jonas opening his presents.  Mainly I was opening them.  He got a soccer ball, an outfit, bibs, 3 other balls, some letters from his cousins (they were super cute!)  some hotwheels cars and his name in wooden letters that my mom and sisters decorated.  I've been wanting to put up Jonas's name in wood letters since he was born, I just never got around to it.  So that present was really for me, but I love them!  They are belos.

These three boys are Jonas's cousins.  He LOVES them!  whenever he plays with them, he gets all excited and I can just tell he's having a good time.  Plus that's where he learns everything.  On Mondays when Clint goes to class, Jonas gets to hang out with Hayden. The boy with the gray shirt and purple stripes.  He's 3 years old, just barely.  So when he comes home from playing with Hayden, Jonas talks so much more (you know, making a lot more vocal outward sounds) and he does things that Hayden does because Jonas just watches and observes and learns the whole time.  It's awesome!
Now here are pictures of him with his cake.  He poked at it at first, then he dug into it and started eating it. It was so cute!  My mom took pictures while I took video of it.  It was awesome!

Look how hard he's concentrating in these two pictures!  He's just digging in his cake and mushing it everywhere.  Ha ha, I love it!

So it was a good birthday.  Jonas could tell that something was different because he was getting a ton of attention and when everyone left at the end of the day, he was all hyped up and running everywhere making a bunch of noises and talking.  It was so cute!  He had a good time.  I did as well.  He's so fun!
