Day 34 - Yuck!

I got what Jonas had. It was awful. But instead of it being spread among 5 days, all the awfulness that it was, was squished into 1 day. It was the worst day of my life. And Sunday is the worst day for me to get sick. I have two callings that require me to be there. I play the organ and am the Primary chorister. And it's really hard to find people to sub in those callings. Our ward isn't a very musical ward. There's only 3 people that play the organ, and one of the sisters has a broken leg now, and the other doesn't do it anymore (I have no idea why, I could use her help!). So it's me playing the organ, and the relief society president playing the piano every other week.

Plus, Clint has a calling where he is busy all day. He's ward executive secretary and he's gone from 6:30am until 4:30 pm and the church for meetings and then when the bishop has interviews in the afternoon. So Clint was running around trying to take care of my callings being filled, and then came back and got Jonas from Church. I pretty much laid in bed/on the couch all day.

So this picture describes the sum of our week, I guess. And I actually learned something cool about lighting from taking this picture. Didn't plan on that, but I understand dramatic lighting better now:

Yep. those are cheerios on the ground - stuck to the ground and they have been there since Saturday night when Jonas ate cheerios for dinner.

My house is a complete disaster! Clint and I have been too busy taking care of Jonas to clean, and then when I started feeling sick on Saturday, I didn't feel like cleaning, and I definitely DON'T want to clean today. I could barely stand for 30 seconds without feeling like I was going to throw up. So no, I didn't want to bend down and scrub the cheerios off the ground.

And if anyone knows me, I'm a clean freak. I don't like dirt/clutter on my floor/house. But today, I didn't care, and Clint didn't either. He was too busy with his callings and trying to take care of Jonas and me to worry about cleaning. Poor guy, his cold is getting worse. He has a cough and congestion. At least he doesn't have what Jonas and I have.

Does anyone want to come clean my house? ha ha! J/k. But there was one moment this night, after I threw up, that I felt good, and I had a burst of energy, and that's when I took this picture, and gave Jonas a bath. Funny story:  While Jonas was in the tub, I felt good, and the bathroom smelled bad, so I started cleaning the toilet while he was playing in the water. All of a sudden I hear "eww....eww.." and I look over, and there is something floating in the tub. Then I look behind Jonas, and it's poop floating in the tub! Oh my gosh, that has never happened. It was really gross, but kind of funny now that I look back on it. Luckily it was a solid poo (no more diarrhea - yay!) so it wasn't that "messy". But it's another thing to clean. And after that, I started feeling sick again, so now I have dishes piling in my sink, I have a dirty tub and tub toys to clean, and my other bathroom is dirty, and toys are everywhere and I have no motivation to clean yet. Still feel gross. It will get cleaned - one of these days. I hate being sick.

  1. I'd come clean your house for you if I didn't live 72 miles away!! And the poop in the tub...been there, done that!! Welcome to motherhood!!

Get well soon and we'll pray Clint doesn't catch it too!
