Day 51 - Growing Big!

Nope, this post isn't about Jonas. It's about our garden! Clint has put a lot of effort and research into great gardening this year. And I wanted to show you that it was paying off. Plus, it gives me an excuse to try different types of photography, since that's what my project 365 is all about, right?

Look at these onion plants! They are so big already! They took a lot longer to get this big last year. They really do love the cool weather.

Clint researched that if you put "mulch" down by your garden (mulch is just a bunch of shredded paper, newspaper, or grass clippings), then it will help to keep the dirt cooler in hot heat, and keep weeds out. So we're trying it, since onions like cook weather. That's what all the shredded paper is everywhere.

And this is a potato plant.....from last year! Oops, I guess we missed digging up some potatoes. But it's really big and doing great. And luckily, it's growing in an area where we planted potatoes for this year.
