Day 63 - Awesome Clouds

I have to say, I've kind of been enjoying the rain lately. It's nice. Plus, it means that we don't have to water our garden, or our lawn. And everything looks so green and beautiful!

This picture is taken from our backyard. Past our fence, there is a field, but there is a small hill before you get to the field, so you can see the grass right above the fence, poking up. As Jonas and I were outside, the clouds against the grass looked really cool.

This next part is for anyone that cares. So when you are taking pictures of landscapes, or mountains or whatever, then you basically want all of it to be in focus.  In that case, you want your aperture to be a bigger number so everything is in focus. I've read at least f/16 or higher.

So my settings on this are SS 1/100, f/18, ISO 200.  Also, when you do landscapes, since you don't have anything moving, you can have a lower shutter speed and it should be fine. But I read that if you go lower than 1/60 (and that shutter speed is for people who can hold a camera STILL), then you want to use a tripod. I didn't need to use my tripod because 1/100 is just fine when holding your camera. It's kind of fun to do something different, and have settings that are different than what I'm used to.

  1. I agree! No watering for 4 days...it's been bliss! 'Course, now we have to get back on schedule and get the garden planted. Hum.

    Enjoy those beautiful clouds!
