Then we chilled around for my dad to get home and we went to Willow Park in Logan. My mom has been wanting to take Jonas for a while. It was fun. Jonas loved the animals! I can't wait to take him to the zoo this summer so he can see elephants and giraffes (hopefully the giraffes will be out). He especially loved the monkeys. It was great!

Jonas loved feeding the ducks. He was nervous at first. He kept throwing the little pellets at the ducks, then my dad showed him out to do it. So cute! |
So I was talking to my mom about how sometimes I get stuck when I take pictures because I feel, for some reason, that my pictures need to be these "portrait" type pictures that I keep seeing on my two photography blogs I follow. Or take pictures that I will scrapbook, but you know what? That's not possible. My mom's blog is a picture (s) of what she did that day being an empty nester. And she's definitely not going to scrapbook all of those pictures. That's so much easier than trying to get a portrait type picture that I'm going to scrapbook. So I'm going to kind of revamp my blog a little. I'm still doing manual mode, but I'm not going to expect my pictures to be these awesome pictures everyday, because that can kind of be overwhelming for me. I do want to still capture those moments and get awesome pictures, but I'm going to try to do pictures about what we did that day, or whatever, so it will make it easier for me to find pictures to take.
I've said this before, I try not to take pictures that I've already taken pictures of, for example the sandbox, but if I just try to do creative pictures on what we did that day, I'm hoping I won't get stuck in photography ruts and not know what to take pictures of. I hope that makes sense, but I can't expect 365 days of awesome portraiture pictures that I would hang on my wall. And that's ok. This is all a learning experience for me to keep me on my toes and wanting to learn more.
I love going and visiting Brigham and Logan! I'm going to have to try that chinese place.
ReplyDeleteYour getting me hungry Steph, grrr. I am glad you guys came up! It was a lot of fun.
ReplyDeleteYes! It was great! Thank you for sharing your Saturday with us!
ReplyDeleteYou may not agree, but I think your pictures are all "portraiture"...especially compared to mine! Puts me to shame!
Will you please put your Willow Park pictures in Dropbox for me? I'm definitely going to scrapbook that day! :)
