Jonas just loves popsicles. What kid doesn't, right? Well, the following conversation takes place almost every day (depending on if we have popsicles or not).
Jonas: Mommy, I want a pock-a-sicle
Me: You want a popsicle?! (I act all surprised)
Jonas: yeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh (he has to draw it out and he tilts his head to the side acting all cute)
Me: Sorry bud, we don't have anymore. We ate them all.
Jonas: .......Buy some...store (the 'dots'.....represent him speaking a little gibberish, like he's trying to get those filler words in, but doesn't know them quite yet).
Me: Ya, next time we go to the store we'll buy some. (How can I say no to such a cute face? It's just a popsicle, and he's really good about being patient when we go to the store next to buy some.)
So needless to say, we went to the store today and bought "pock-a-sicles". I got some ice cream bar type popsicles instead, thinking he would be able to eat them quicker. He doesn't eat the ice popsicles in time, so it gets everywhere. I was wrong. I decided he just likes to lick. He never bites. Oh dear!
Maybe this already exists and I don't know about it, but the popsicle industry/ice cream bar industry really needs to develop longer sticks, because little kids can't hold them with their fingers like adults do, and therefore this is the result. Causing messy fingers and cold hands.
He still only licked. Clint and I had to take turns helping him take bites. Luckily he's very willing to share. You just say, "can mommy have a turn?" and he's all about sharing it so it doesn't get too messy.
Messy shirt. Luckily it was the end of the day, so not a big deal.
I LOVE THESE PICTURES!! I want to scrapbook them!! Guess what?! Grandma has pock-a-sicles now too! :)
