Day 93 - Parts Pieced Together

My husband loves to write. He's already written one novel, called "The Cause" and self-published it through Amazon. He made $100 bucks off of it. :) But gave out about 10,000 free copies. It's not to make money, although one day he dreams of getting published for real. But it's for fun. One of his hobbies. And his favorite part of self-publishing is designing a book cover, and then marketing his book. That's basically what he does now for his job at SLCC - marketing & Design for staff professional development.

So he made/did a bunch of stuff for me to take pictures of, so he could design a new book cover. These are the pictures I took:

Nothing too special, right? Well, Clint has this very artistic right-brained mind. I'm very left brained, hence why I had to help him pass all his math classes (and that was with C's for passing), and why he taught me all about photoshop. But he is a genius when it comes to design and how he wants something to look. Very creative.

He's also very brilliant when it comes to photoshop - the designing part. I'm better at editing photos in photoshop, but he's better at the design part of photoshop. So he used all these pictures (pieces to his book cover) and put them together and made this.

Pretty cool, huh? I think he did a great job considering he used a mason jar & lid and black construction paper, and plain white paper and a hoodie. He's still going to tweek it a little, but I'm proud of him. And he did it in about a couple hours. I think it looks cool, but maybe I'm biased.

  1. Biased? I don't think so, he is just briliant!
