I realized today that I never showed the end product of Jonas and I baking. Now I'm not claiming to be an awesome baker, in fact, before this recipe all my cookies turned out flat, hard and crispy. So I never made cookies. I was horrible at making them! I don't know why every single recipe turned out awful. Anyways, when I found this recipe on pinterest, I thought I would try it, and I have never tried another chocolate chip cookie recipe again. They turn out amazing each time! And I always get compliments every time I make them. Clint said they were a huge hit at his potluck party at work. Everyone kept asking what my secret was. I don't know, it's just a good recipe. So here it is for all of you. I love them, they are so stinkin good! They are chewy and delicious!
Best Ever Chocolate Chip Cookies
3/4 C unsalted butter, softened (I honestly use whatever I have in the fridge, it's usually salted)
3/4 C Brown Sugar
1/4 Cup Granulate Sugar
1 egg
2 tsp Vanilla
2 C all purpose flour
2 tsp cornstarch
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
Chocolate Chips (I use milk chocolate. I know people say to use semi-sweet, but with these cookies milk chocolate is so tasty)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream together butter and sugars until fluffy and light in color. Add egg and vanilla and blend.
Mix in flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt. Stir in chocolate chips.
Scoop dough onto baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes. No longer than 10. I usually do about 9 - 9 1/2ish minutes.
Let cookies sit on baking sheet for 5 minutes before removing them to a cooling rack. Makes around 3 dozen.
Enjoy!
