I was waiting for a day when not much happened to do this post. I talked with my mom a while ago about our little project 365's. My mom has less than 50 days till she is done with her "365 days of being an empty nester." My mom also mentioned that someone told her that her picture a day was kind of like a grateful journal, in a way. I agree.
I still have about 250ish days left to go, but I'm really grateful that I've done this. Not just to get better at manual mode and photography, but it has helped me become a more patient and loving mother. Every day I look for the good and the small moments that I now just love and cherish. About 90% of my pictures are of Jonas. I can't help it, he's my only subject to take pictures of during the day. But I love looking back at the small moments that make me laugh, the small details that sometimes can get lost or forgotten. I just love my little boy a lot, and I love being a mom - especially a stay at home mom. Photography has also helped me love staying at home. At first I struggled a little because I was so used to going going going and being busy with work and life, but now I just get to relax and take pictures of the fun things with my little boy each day. And don't you worry, once I have this next child I will definitely have more variety of pictures, but until then, I love Jonas and I hope you all don't mind that most of the pictures on this blog are of him.

Yup, keeping my "Gratitude Journal" has been the best thing ever!! You are going to treasure these posts especially when Jonas gets older and he asks you what funny and cute things he did when he was little.
ReplyDeleteAnd that bottom picture is the cutest picture ever! It is now my desktop! What did you do to get him laughing like that?!
