My old roommate, Julie (and her husband), were in town today. Two years ago they moved to Rhode Island so Adam (her husband), could attend baking school - at a pretty fancy school. So once a year they come visit family, and squeeze in time for friends.
We went to the Red Iguana in Downtown Salt Lake and had a wonderful time together. By the way, Adam used to be the bass player in Clint's band. So Clint and Adam get along real well too. My other old roommate, Jenna, was there too. She still lives in SLC, but we don't hang out much anymore since we have a kid. Kids just change everything. We don't stay out late, finding a babysitter is hard, and bringing the kid along isn't that fun either. So we don't hang out with them much. But it was lots of fun to catch up.
I was going to bring my camera, but my pregnancy brain is getting the better of me and I forgot. I even had the camera close to the door so I could grab it on the way out. Blah! But Julie took a pic with her phone. So no, it's not manual mode, but I don't care. However I did edit it a bit so it looked better, so I still kind of got some practice with photography.
And what was I thinking? I should have got a pic with Jenna too. Just because Jenna isn't thousand of miles away doesn't mean I don't need a pic with her too. Oh man, I'll blame it on being too bloated from eating too much. Ha!

Wow! I'd say you must have done some pretty good editing...my phone pictures never look that good!
ReplyDeleteThat's cool you still keep in touch with your old roommates.
So fun to get together with old friends, good for you! It is different/difficult when children come into the picture huh. That's why you make new friends who live close and have kids. ;)
