Day 159 - Been a While
It has been quite a while since Jonas played in his sandbox. It kind of got infested with spiders - we even saw a spider sac. GROSS! So we had to spray it, and then air it out, but now it's good. This picture above is one of Jonas's favorite things to do in the sandbox. He fills this little lid with sand, and we put it in his hand. We call it (he calls it this too) his sand cake. We make lots of sand cakes and then he squishes them and we do it all over again.
And our "giant" pumpkin has officially stopped growing. Clint has taken the blanket off of it, and we're now letting it harden in the sun. He's researching ways to keep it good until Halloween when we carve it. I bet it's about 40ish lbs or so, not the 75 lbs that Clint was hoping for, but that's ok.
So here are the three types of pumpkins we grew so you can understand size a bit more. We have our Jack-be-littles, and then a sweet pumpkin (Clint is literally going to make homemade pie with it), and then our "giant" pumpkin. Pretty fun!

Didn't mom used to read us a book about little bear making sand cakes? You should read that to Jonas. :-)
