Day 163 - A Big Fat Bruise is Coming our Way

Jonas and I were outside playing. He loves to play in our garage, probably because that's where all his outside toys are at. Well, he always plays with the usuals and the umbrella stroller is a usual. He love to push it around, climb in and out of it, etc. Today he climbed in it and stood up in it. And when he bent forward....you guessed it....he and the stroller went falling towards the cement ground. I almost died! The poor kid's forehead and nose hit the cement with a huge thud! I felt so so so bad! I was close to him, but he fell too fast for me to catch. I cannot describe how bad I felt. That was one of those situations that I keep thinking back on saying "If I would have....." or "I should have said......to prevent...." One of those. But it's past, I can't keep thinking about it. It's so sad though!

Jonas now has a huge goose egg on his head and nose.
Doesn't that look so bad? He cried for a good 20 minutes or so and I just held him and rocked him and sang to him. He really likes it when I sing. I feel so bad. And it's looking worse as the night goes on. It's going to be the worst bruise yet. Poor kid. But after dinner, sitting on dad's lap, he was back to his normal goofy self. Hopefully he sleeps ok tonight.

Then, on a brighter note, as we were playing outside, we had a friendly visit.
Jonas thought this deer was so cool. He had to watch it the whole time until it was completely gone. Gotta love living close to the mountains, I guess.
