Day 180 - Clothes

After checking at several places, namely Walmart, Ross, JcPenney, I decided that the cheapest place to get baby clothes is just Walmart. I still want to check Kid to Kid, or Costco, or something like that, but the frugal-ness in me is getting the better. I can't justify paying 10 bucks for an outfit that my little girl is going to wear for 3 (or less) months!

I admit, I have been spoiled in the past. We have received all the hand-me-down clothes for Jonas from Clint's older sister who has 3 boys. We've only had to buy a few pair of shoes for Jonas, some shorts and some long sleeve onsies. In the past 2  1/2 years that's all we've had to buy for him! Ya, we're spoiled.

So now I'm buying clothes for this girl, and I'm kinda stressed. I don't know how much to buy, because I don't want to buy too much if she's just going to out grow them in a couple months, but at the same time, how much do I get?

Anyways, when we were at Walmart, I buckled down and bought a couple outfits. I have plenty of onesies to go under outfits, I just need long pants and long sleeve stuff to keep her warm.

So I decided that with Walmart, you have to be quick when it comes to buying 0-3 month clothes. We were there last week, and they didn't have these in, so they are pretty new - all those winter clothes. But there were hardly any 0-3 month clothes. The 0-3 month pants that went with this black and pink outfit were gone. They had plenty of 3-6 and 12 month clothes.
But I thought they were cute. Also, I'm buying 0-3 month clothes because what if she is big and doesn't fit in newborn? What if she only wears newborn for a couple weeks and then out grows them? I don't know! If anyone has suggestions, please let me know. I haven't bought anything newborn because I just don't know what to do. Thanks!

  1. You're smart to buy 0-3 month - newborn sizes are just too small! Besides, she'll be staying in the house those first few months so sleepers and nightgowns fit the bill there. Good luck! And look for awesome clearance deals...like summer clothes in bigger sizes that Walmart is selling for a buck! Love ya!
