Day 227 - Halloween

I have never been a huge fan of Halloween. I hate dressing up and going to parties. The only thing about Halloween that I like is carving pumpkins and having parties with family. But ever since having a kid, Halloween is 50 times better! I love dressing him up, and I love seeing how excited he gets when he understands he's going to get candy if he says Trick or Treat and puts on his costume.

Tonight was great! You could tell Jonas was so excited to go get candy. He kept talking about candy all day. And he was so brave walking up to the doors and knocking on them! He said Trick or Treat to everyone, and said Thank you to everyone. Normally he does NOT talk to other people (sometimes that includes grandparents because he's just so shy at first!), but tonight he did because he knew he would get candy. Plus it helped that we were there with him. I just love seeing him happy and excited and giving him those nice childhood memories.

 

Look at all that loot! That's a lot of candy for a 2 year old. I guess we'll have to help him eat it. Ha ha!
