Day 231 - 27 Years

Happy Birthday to my wonderful husband, Clint. He's 27 years old! That means we are the same age. For 6 days, that is, and then I will be a year older than him. We like to call these six days "Clintanie-Gra", in celebration of us being the same age. We try to do fun things each day, but that's kind of hard with callings and everything that goes on. But we still do something fun, even if it's watching a movie as a family or playing a game together. Just something out of the norm.

Today, we went to Culver's for dinner. Has anyone ever been there? It's new, so we thought we would try it. It's a hamburger/sandwich place. They don't just have hamburgers, but they have chicken dinners and reuben sandwiches and other stuff. It was really good! I loved their hamburger. Jonas loved being out as well. And he's always up for a hamburger and soda. And he loves french fries too. Then we watched "Monster's University" for the first time. Super cute show! Loved it!

Right as Clint got home, I took a picture of us together before I lost my light. I don't know about this whole daylight savings thing. I love my natural light and I lose it around 5ish or so now instead of 6:30ish. That will make it hard to have natural lighting if I want pictures with Clint in them. Hmm....I guess I'll have to learn to deal with white balance now.

At first I wanted just a picture of Clint and I, but Jonas can't resist being with us. Plus, he loves when I use my tripod and put it on timer. He loves looking at the light, and he's so much better for pictures when I use the timer. But I really like how this picture turned out. Our cute little family, which will soon be bigger.

Clint wrote this for his facebook status today. I thought it was funny and clever. Happy Birthday sweety!

"Went to the DMV this morning to renew my driver's license. I couldn't help but compare the photos. A lot has changed from 21-years-old to 27-years-old. I'm 20 pounds heavier. (I was 35 pounds heavier, but I've lost weight.) I'm losing my hair like a champ. I look so much older, and not in a 'George Clooney' kind of way... But I finished with college. I am a father to the best little boy (and in a few weeks a little girl too.) I have a house and a couch (I didn't at 21.) I've written two books, learned how to garden, got a good job, spend more time with family, have less debt, and I'm just plain happy -- I guess the hair was a fair trade."
