Day 296 - Fussy baby

Alexis is wide awake at two times, like I've mentioned before. However, it has changed to an hour or two in the morning and then her usuall hour or two at night - usually after Jonas goes to bed around 8-10:30 or so. Lately when she is awake, she's really fussy. I'm not sure if it's because she's tired and she can't get back to sleep because she is gassy, or if it's because she likes to fall asleep while eating. Because when she is awake, she acts like she's starving even though I just fed her! But at the same time, she is so gassy! I've never met a gassier baby. She farts and poops all the time, and she's always has rumblings going on in her tummy. I can get her to burp every time I feed her, so I'm wondering if it's the things I'm eating. So far, I'm trying to stay away from Broccoli, cauliflower, chocolate, and I've cut down on my dairy. I'm hoping that those things will help with the fussiness. We'll see. Either way, I don't like having a fussy baby. She'll take her binky, but then her arms fling everywhere, knocking it out, and causing problems. And eventually she'll just spit it out and not take it anymore. She likes to be bounced though. If I take her on my pilates ball and bounce, she'll quiet right up, or if I bounce her in my arms she'll be quiet. I've never been a huge fan of bouncing, but for some reason she likes it and it works with her. So I guess I'll do it. But that's why I've been getting behind on my blog. I usually do it during Jonas's nap (which he hasn't been taking lately, grrr...) or I'll do it at night, which is Alexis's fussy time. But I'm still trying to take a picture a day, even if it's a snapshot like today's pic.

  1. Please don't stop!! It's the only way I can stay in touch day by day! Hopefully Alexis and Jonas can get on the same schedule soon.
