I think my baby girl has finally began a schedule/routine for the day. Jonas was always like clockwork. Every 3 hours he'd wake up to eat. Then within a half hour to an hour after eating, he'd fall asleep for 2 hours and eat again. Seriously - clockwork. Even at night. He'd eat every 3 hours. With her, it's been all crazy, and I've been trying to get a routine down at night to get her to sleep better and such.
Ever since we got the reflux medicine, I feel like she's been getting better. She eats better, sleeps better during the day, and therefore has been able to get into a routine. This is it. It's kind of weird, but she's been doing this for a good week and a half or so.
She wakes up in the morning, eats, and then within an hour and a half after she takes a "mini" nap, usually around 9:30ish. Mini means she sleeps for 30-45 minutes. Then wakes up and eats again. Then within an hour after eating, she'll fall asleep for a huge nap. I'm talking 4-5 hour nap. This is usually from 11 -3 or so. Then wakes up again, eats, plays, takes another mini nap. Wakes up and then eats around 5:30 or 6 and then takes another mini nap, then we start our bedtime routine, and she's usually asleep between 8-9. And she'll sleep for at least 6-7 hours before waking up again. Except that one day when it was 10 1/2. Ya, that was awesome.
Isn't that so weird? But she's been very consistent with her weird schedule for a week and a half or so. Every since she's been taking the reflux medicine. Weird. Anyways, at least I know what to expect. So during her huge nap, I make sure to play with Jonas, or go outside with him, and we also have quiet time (I've given up on naps with him) and watch a movie together. So at least he knows he'll get attention some time during the day. He's been better with me too. Not as much whining, until Clint walks in the door. Then he resorts back to being a baby. One day he'll get better.
But as for my picture, I know when her "mini" naps are, so I just let her sleep in the swing during those mini naps. For her big nap, I lay her in the crib, and she's been doing good with that.
It was so beautiful today! Jonas didn't even need his coat when we went outside. He's blowing me a kiss in this picture.
Well, at least it's a schedule. I'm glad she's doing a lot better. I love the picture of Jonas. He's such a cutie!!
