Day 357 - Get-a-way

Cache Valley does this really cool thing - called a cache Valley Getaway - where you pick a hotel (there's several to choose from) and then you get a free dinner voucher of your choice, from several different places. We went to the Weston Inn - a Best Western hotel. It was only 79.99 and then we got a free meal as well. Cool, huh? They only do it during the winter months, from October to April because it is their slow season. But we don't care about visiting Cache Valley. We went there for college, so we don't need to see the sights. We just like to go there every year for the memories and to get a way.

So first, we set off to my parents house to drop off Jonas. I just love the mountains. They are so pretty, so I thought I'd take a picture from the car. It was a beautiful day.

We dropped off Jonas at my parents house. I should have taken a picture of him with them, but instead I got a picture of Alexis with my mom. Ha ha! She's just so cute! We took Alexis with us because, you know, I have to feed her and all. And she has stopped taking a bottle. Oh well. She's not that bad if we don't have a whiny two and a half year old throwing tantrums all the time. 

 Then we got to our hotel. The whole point of our getaway was to do this:

 Watch TV. We hardly ever get to watch movies together. Because I don't want to watch our adult movies when Jonas is awake, and at night, Alexis usually goes to sleep too late to watch a movie, so then I want to go to sleep. So we went to our regular hotel room, and realized they didn't have a dvd player! What? Isn't that weird? So we called and asked if they had one we could rent or something. They didn't, but he said their suites have a dvd player and he asked if we wanted to upgrade. We did because we wanted to watch movies and eat candy! He gave us the upgrade for free! I don't think he wanted to deal with it and plus he was same age as us with two kids as well. We connected so he gave us a deal. The suite had a couch, jacuzzi tub, dvd player, and a table with two chairs and coffee table. So it was bigger. We had a king size bed. It was nice! That way, if Alexis didn't sleep in the pack n play we could put her in the bed with us, which we did half way through the night. She likes sleeping next to me sometimes. She's such a mommy's girl.

We went swimming in their indoor pool. Isn't she so cute? The suit is just slightly big, but it will be perfect for summer. She didn't like the pool much. It was kind of cool, so we went back and since we had on our swimming suits, we all went swimming in the jacuzzi tub. I think she liked it. She was kicking her feet around and liking the bubbles. She's so cute!

My brother and his girlfriend came over late and watched a movie with us. It was nice! And Alexis was really good the whole time. She ate good, she slept while we ate dinner so we could have a conversation, and she slept good at night. She only woke up once.
