An Adventure Comes to an End

So it's done. On Wednesday, June 16, 2010, Clint and I signed our lives away. Not really, but kind of. We Closed on our House. It actually wasn't all that bad! People say it takes forever and you have to sign page after page after page, etc. However, the stack was only 1 inch thick (I was expecting atleast 2 in. thick), and we didn't have to sign EVERY page, we signed the last page of each section. It wasn't that bad. It was about 1 hour to do everything.

So now Clint and I are homeowners. We bought our blinds, installed them, I patched up most of the paint that needed patching and I've been packing all week. Saturday is the day we officially move into our house. We have a truck rented and we're moving everything. I can't wait to be in my own house, living where I can see sunlight! As you might have guessed, living in a basement apartment is kind of depressing. It's always dark, and you always have to have lights on. There's not much circulation and it's always pretty cool - cold during the winter. So I'm pretty stoked to spend the rest of my summer in a brand new house.

I guess now I'll have to figure out other stuff to write about on my blog. Well, hope all you readers have enjoyed the adventure of watching our house being built.
