Sick baby

Jonas is 15 months, and yesterday was the first day that he was sick....ever!  Knock on wood, right?  He didn't sleep well Sunday night, and he felt really warm, so I gave him tylenol.  I thought he might be teething.  He does not sleep well when he has a tooth coming in.  I can't wait till teething is over.  He wakes up atleast 2-4 times a night when he's teething. Poor kid.  So I thought he was teething.

Then Tuesday morning he still felt really warm.  Took his temp and it was 100 degrees. So he had a fever all day yesterday.  It fluctuated as high as 102.5 to 99 degrees. Thank goodness for Tylenol.  Now he is back to normal, but I can tell that he still feels yucky...maybe he's tired.  But all he wanted to do yesterday was be held with his blanket around him.  Normally he plays with his toys, wants to go outside, etc.  But yesterday he just wanted me to hold him. 

Even when we were outside, if I put him down, he would start bawling.  Poor kid.  So we had a relaxing day.  We watched TV practically the whole day and he took 2 naps, which is not normal, because he usually only takes 1 nap a day.  Curious George and Grey's Anatomy were our friends.  It was kind of nice for me to just relax, because I didn't feel lazy.  I was just taking care of my sick boy. If I watch too much TV I feel awful, but not yesterday. 

So there you have it.  Sick for the first time ever. Sure he's had a slightly runny nose before, but he never acted irritated or sick when he had the runny nose.  We didn't even give medicine for the runny nose.  He got over it within a day, so I don't really know if he was sick.
