Good times

So here's the latest with the Stoker family:

Jonas LOVES super heroes. He loves these batman pajamas. When I put them on him, he'll say "batman" over and over again. Batman, Spider man, Hulk and Iron man are the super heroes that he knows - all thanks to his dad.  He couldn't be more proud of his son. Ha ha!

I did some redecorating with Jonas room. I found this idea on pinterest, of course. I made some hanging book shelves out of fabric. They turned out way cute, and now Jonas can see what books he wants to read. It's kind of hard to know what the book is by looking at a skinny spine.

Also, Jonas started climbing his crib a little, and I didn't want it to go any farther than that. Wouldn't that be awful if he learned how to climb out all the way and he fell down? I would be so sad, so I started to transition him to a toddler bed. I was worried that he would get out or wouldn't go to bed as easily as he does now, so I put his toddler bed in his room with his crib, and he only napped in the toddler bed. After a few days, he was doing great (not even getting out himself) so we took the crib down completely, and we rearranged his room with his toys in a certain part, and an art table, and his reading corner, and his cute little bed. And the best part is....he still doesn't get out of his bed. I know he can because he gets in and out of it during the day when we play in his room, but at night, and for his naps, he stays laying down. If he wants me, he'll just say "I want mom" and then I'll go get him. It's kind of nice knowing that he won't be getting out himself for a while. And it's been like this for a whole month. He loves his little bed. Thanks Nova!

Santa came to our ward party, and of course I had to get a picture of Jonas screaming on his lap. These pictures are classic, aren't they? Santa gave him candy, and of course he took it, crying his head off, and once I took him back I told him to say goodbye, which he did, through all his tears. It was funny.

I just love this picture! My dad LOVES being a grandpa, even though he didn't admit it for the first...oh, I don't know, 7 months or so after Jonas was born. But now he plays with him, and Jonas just loves him. They are so cute together! He is his first and only grandson right now.

A picture with Jonas' grandparents. They are so sweet altogether. My parents love their grandson!

For the longest time, I always remember my mom eating chocolate milk with toast - and dipping her toast in the chocolate milk (the nesquick kind). I really like it too. It's tasty. So of course she had to teach her grandson. Jonas loves it! So cute!

And lastly, we went to temple square. Jonas slept in the car, so he was kind of groggy when we were walking around, and didn't care that much about the lights, it seemed, but it was still fun. I still think he enjoyed looking at them, even though he showed no emotion.

There you have it. Fun times in December. My brother comes home from his mission tomorrow (Dec. 18) and everyone is so excited. He's never met Jonas, so I think that will be fun. Then we're going to zoolights on Thursday with Jonas's awesome cousins, and Clint's family party is on Christmas Eve during the day, and then Christmas day will be here before you know it.

Clint and I are SO excited for Christmas.  And it's all because of Jonas. He understands that when you open presents, there's something inside. That's so fun! We got him so many fun things - a lot of spider man stuff. I can't wait!

By the way, my sugar thing. Still doing good. No cookies, cakes, pastries, brownies, etc. Although I've been tempted. Our ward party had yummy looking cake, but I resisted. Clint has made no bake cookies a couple times (and he makes some dang good no bakes), but I resisted. My family had a get together on Sunday and they had Ice Cream for dessert, and I resisted. I think if I can make it through December, then I can do anything regarding no sugar. This is the worst month for candy and goodies - but I will do it. I went to the doctor today (just for a checkup), and I lost 10 pounds since the last time I went to the doctor, when I sprang my foot. Yay!  Now I just need to do more cardio. And my blood pressure was really good, better than the last time at the doctors. Needless to say, no sugar is helping me become more healthy.  What a great Holiday!
