Day 129 - My 24th

We had another girls day today - our "chickapalooza". The boys (minus my dad, he's a federal employee so he doesn't get state holidays off like the 24th of July) went tubing down the Ogden river while the girls stayed at my sisters house and chatted, did crafts, hung out, etc. It was really hot at my sisters house (no AC), which is fine, but being pregnant that's not so fun. Plus, I'm really used to my central air, so I was hot, tired, and had a headache a lot of the day, so I didn't feel like taking pictures. So I didn't. I told myself I would take a picture of what we did when I got home.

So I had fun talking with my mom, sister and sister-in-law, tried to get Jonas to take a nap (which didn't ever happen till we drove home that night at 5), and had fun  just chilling. Then we drove home and guess what I left at my sisters house? My camera! AH!

Luckily my brother and sister-in-law were still there and they live in SLC, but they were going to the rodeo. But they were so nice to meet me somewhere after the rodeo and dropped off my camera. PHEW! I did get a picture, but it's not the best because the only light I had to work with was the yucky florescent lights in my house, which means I have to crank up my ISO and it makes the picture more grainy with higher ISO, but I did get a picture for the day. Oh well. It happens.

This is a craft my sister-in-law came up with. It's a matching game with the family's pictures on it. It's so Jonas, and other grandkids/nieces/nephews, etc, can learn everyone's name. She printed off everyone's picture and we glued them on small pieces of cardstock and then used packaging tape to "laminate" them. Jonas loves looking at pictures of people he knows, plus it will help him learn everyone's name. I think I might keep it as a church activity. We'll see. But it was fun and a very cute idea!

  1. Ya, it was warm, but being with my girls totally out weighed the heat!! (I was jealous of the boys though...I want to go tubing!!)
