Day 130 - Don't mind me, we're just playing Scrabble

Whenever Jonas and I get bored, I always suggest playing a game. He loves to get out the little pieces and play with them, put them on the game board, etc. This was his first time "playing" scrabble. Basically, we just put the letter pieces on the holder things and he would occasionally tell me where to put a letter on the board. I just think it's cute how he gets excited about playing games.

And since each piece has a number and a letter on it, he kept talking about the numbers and counting out loud to himself. I don't know why he noticed the numbers so much, since they are the smaller thing on the pieces, but he noticed them more so than the letters.  He doesn't know which number is which, but he knows the difference between a number and a letter, if that makes sense. This is how he counts: 1, 2,3,4,6,9,10,11,12,14 and then it stops there. He's missing a few, but we'll get it. I love hearing his high pitched little voice count. Again, the math teacher in me is proud. Ha!

  1. Once again...I LOVE YOUR PICTURES! You are such a good mom to take time to "play" games with Jonas. No wonder he's such a smartie!!
