Day 292 - Christmas Day

Once Jonas went into the front room this morning and saw presents under the tree - he was so excited! That was fun to watch. I actually wasn't that great at taking pictures today because we like to video record Christmas and opening presents. It's just so funny the things Jonas says and you can't capture that through pictures. I know, me of all people not a huge picture taker on Christmas. Ha ha!

However, I did try to get a before and after picture. So here they are. I completely forgot to get Alexis's "before" picture before Jonas opened her presents for her. Oh well!

 We opened up his useful present, and then I was like "wait, I need pictures!" So he's missing his green present, but look how excited he is!

Alexis's after. Just a few simple things. And I printed off her picture for her meaningful gift because she's part of our family and she's going on the wall. That's meaningful. :)

So for those of you who might be wondering what I mean by "useful" and "meaningful" gifts, check out my post from last Christmas. I explain how we do our Christmas so we can remember Christ a little bit better during Christmas and the present opening. I love how we do it. I've done it since I was about 14 or so with my family, and we continue the tradition.

I took pics of Clint and I, but we weren't showered or anything. Nobody wants to see that. :) My family came over later, we opened presents with them and we got to talk to my sister who is serving her mission in Argentina! She was able to google hangout. So that was cool. It was a fun Christmas. Crazy and kind of tiring (I'm still recovering. I get sore easily if I don't take my ibuprofen and if I over do it), but it was fun. I love family around Christmas time.
