Day 291 - Christmas Eve

My husband's family always has a Christmas Eve party. Everyone comes, and that includes all the grandchildren. They have 13 now! Wow! Anyways, I didn't go because I have a newborn and I don't want her to get sick. But Jonas and Clint went and Jonas was so excited to go to a "party". He couldn't stop talking about it all morning.

When they came home, he was practically bouncing off the walls because he had so much fun. I love that kid! His grandparents gave him this really cool dump truck and bulldozer that drive by themselves. It's kind of hard to explain, but when you press the button, they make noises and sounds and wobble from side to side and they drive themselves. He LOVES them! They are pretty cool. Jonas loves diggers and all those construction type vehicles.
The button for this one is on the side. I think the front part wiggles which makes it drive. It's really cool!

And, as part of the grandparents tradition, they always give new pajamas to the grandkids. So here is Jonas sporting his new pj's. Although he's never seen planes, he likes his pj's. His other pajamas were getting too small. This kid is growing so fast!

So you might ask what Alexis and I did? Well, she basically slept the whole time they were gone, minus the feedings, and I cleaned the house. Ever since we got back from the hospital, I feel like we can never get caught up on the dishes or the laundry (which has almost doubled since we had Alexis). In the past two weeks, I've done about 8ish loads of laundry. Not kidding either! Normally I do 3 every week and a half, but man! This girl gets all her clothes dirty. It doesn't sound much fun, right? HOWEVER, I'm kind of a neat freak and after the house was clean, I sat and watched a movie in my clean house and loved it! Aw, I love having a clean house. I also wrapped presents. I watched this cute ABC family movie called "The 12 Dates of Christmas". Cute chick flick. Normally ABC family movies are lame, but I actually really liked this one. SO there you go, I had fun sitting in my clean house and having some me time. It was kind of nice not to worry about Jonas.

Then we had our own party that evening. We watched "Muppet Christmas Carol" and ate pizza and little smokies.
