Well, we learned that it takes almost quadruple the time to get the family ready when you have to leave. It normally takes about 15 minutes when we had just Jonas. Now, it takes about an hour to get ready to go somewhere because I have to feed the baby before we go (1/2 hour) and then pack up two kids with their diapers and such and Alexis likes to poop all the time. Needless to say, we were 15 minutes late. We'll get it down eventually.
I wanted to dress Alexis up. I've been putting her in Pj's this whole time, since they are the only things that don't drown her too bad. But she's filled out some, and I forgot about this one outfit I had, and it fits pretty good! Slightly big, but it's perfect! So she's all decked out to see the doctor, where I had to take off all her clothes anyway. Oh well. It was still fun to get her all cute.

Isn't she adorable? And thanks to her Aunt Nova for the headband. I love them! |
She now weighs 8 lbs exactly. She's gained a whole pound in 2 weeks! She's a good eater. She came out my tummy a pro at eating. Her head is in the 63rd percentile and she is 20 inches. She grew a whole inch in two weeks too! Crazy! She's getting bigger quickly already.
Here's some fun things about her (this is more for my sake to remember them).
- Diaper changes, waking her up from her sleep, and putting her in the car seat make her really, really mad!
- At night, she sleeps 3 1/2 to 4 hours before waking up to eat. Ya, pretty awesome, right? And she's still gaining weight. This is why I tell people I get more sleep when I have the baby as opposed to being pregnant, because I do!
- She is wide awake about twice a day. Usually around 1-2ish in the afternoon, and then at night - after Jonas goes to bed. And she likes to stay up till 10:30 or so until she goes back to sleep, so that means we don't go to bed till then and I'm so tired when 10:30 rolls around. Hopefully she'll change that soon. I'm going to try some things that will hopefully change that routine.
- When she was in the hospital, she loved to be swaddled all time. Now she gets mad at me if her arms and legs are swaddled. She likes to sprawl her arms out and have her legs stretched out. Kind of like the picture shows.
- She had her first bath where she went fully in the water and loved it! So much better than a sponge bath. Thank you umbilical cord for falling off!
And this happened tonight. Jonas wanted to "play" with Alexis on his bed. I love that he loves her so much and wants to do what she is doing (laying on a blanket or the bed, or drinking milk). They are so cute!
I am so jealous of her sleep. Last night was the first time Nixon has EVER slept over 2 hours and he's 6 weeks!
