It was a Jake and the Neverland Pirate Party. Get ready for a picture overload. :)
First off, the cake. I decorated this on Friday night. I like how it turned out. I'm glad my mom taught me cake decorating. I love doing it for my kids.
First, when everyone got here they ate snacks. There is "fish and Chips" in the bowl. (goldfish and ruffles chips), and pirate boats made out of Oranges and jell-o and then pirate "treasures" (the candy).
And then we played games. They had to knock over the pirates - those sneaky snooks (If any of you have seen the show, that's what peter pan calls captain hook)

I gave Jonas a haircut the night before. He looks like a little man. He's all grown up.
And then we threw cannonballs (aka waterballons) at Captain Hook. I couldn't find any black water balloons, so purple was the next best color.
Jonas refused to throw water balloons at captain hook. He told me the next day that he wasn't scared of Captain Hook, which meant he really was scared. Funny, huh? But he did "squirt" him - from far far away.
Then we did a treasure dig. This was messy but oh so fun! I filled up his kiddie pool with shredded paper, hid coins in it (some big coins my mom found at the dollar store) and we had a race to see which team could find the most in 5 minutes. The kids LOVED it! But my house was filled with paper afterwards. No stress though, the vacuum worked nicely on it.
And then we opened presents. Jonas's cousin, Hayden, was just too excited. He had to help Jonas, which I don't think Jonas liked towards the end. Kind of funny.
They went outside to play for a bit while I got the table and cake ready. We blew out the candles and then had cake.
Jonas got a ton of fun stuff. A lot of Jake stuff and bubbles, which he loves. He was really excited about the whole thing. I loved throwing him a party. He's such a cutie. I love my little 3 year old.
Oh, and I got my hair cut, too. I'm just a short hair kind of girl. I liked my hair long, but it was too hot and I never had time to do it. Short hair is so much easier. Plus, I love A-lines, and so does Clint. I cut off a good 5 inches. My hair never gets that long.
Here's my before (left) and after (right)
