Dramatic Lighting

I think pictures with dramatic lighting are so cool! I've been wanting to try it, but taking pictures of Jonas lately is like taking pictures while riding a bull. He either runs away, stops what he's doing and stares blankly at me, comes up so close to the camera it can't focus or he darts back and forth so fast it's almost impossible to capture a picture. This is why there haven't been pictures of Jonas and Alexis together for her "month" pictures. He won't pose for me or do anything for me picture related. I'm hoping it's just part of his "I'm whiney and my life is so hard I can do whatever I want" phase.

Sometimes I "try" to put him in the light and tell him to play or whatever and he says no and is a big brat about it. For now, I just have to capture him doing stuff as opposed to try to get him to do stuff.

However, today he was playing right in the light for a dramatic lighting effect. Usually when this happens I have to go find my camera and by the time I come back, he's stopped what he's doing because he knows I went to get the camera. But today my camera was right there on the table in the kitchen where I was at. Yay!

And I caught the picture and I think it looks cool! I love it! I don't think he even knew I took the picture. And a black and white makes the dramatic look even more dramatic. Although I love the colored version too.
