Easter

Easter was great. Really, every Holiday is 10 times better with kids. It's much more exciting. We went to my parents and had an egg hunt. Jonas loved every minute of Easter. Even though he was kind of cranky. He still liked it and had fun. I took way too many pictures! But I just couldn't help myself.

Jonas picked out the toy that went in Alexis's basket. We don't do the Easter Bunny here. We just say that they're going to get their baskets in the morning. But Jonas picked a pony. And all the candy in her eggs, I will be eating. ha ha!

I've been wanting to get a pic of this for a while now. Alexis loves to stand! She might have chunky legs, but they are strong! She can hold herself up without much help. We just hold her hands and she does the rest. That's my strong chunky girl! And this is the only pic I got of her at my parents house. She slept the rest of the time.

My mom, as some of you might know, is a very crafty person. She always does the egg hunt differently. This year, she put puzzle pieces "in" the egg. They were too big of pieces (she didn't realize this till the day of, ha ha) so she put them in bags with the eggs like the picture shows.

I love this picture! My husband took it. This is exactly my mom. She's fun loving, takes more pictures than me, and gets a kick out of doing fun things like this.

We always have a certain color of egg we collect, since all the eggs combined give us a message. You can't just take any egg, we had to get the yellow ones. Jonas was so excited about that. But whenever he would pick up a different color, he would give it to my and I would drop it back on the ground. Silly boy.

So all the pieces of the puzzle tell you where your Easter basket is hidden. Our puzzle was about humpty dumpty on the WALL, so that's where our basket was at.

On the wall. Jonas was so excited about getting our basket. He was running back. The look on his face, if you can tell, is priceless. He's so excited. Alexis took a 3 hour nap - thank goodness! She was so tired. Sundays are rough for her sometimes.

It had girl scout cookies, candy, a pinneapple, oranges and pears in it. And oreos for me! I love oreos now. :) Happy Easter!

  1. Sheesh! How did you get such good pictures?! I couldn't get any good ones of Jonas because he was always running too fast! Glad you liked the egg hunt even though the eggs in the baggies were pretty pathetic!!

    1. Shutter speed mom, shutter speed. :) On Auto, it's not fast enough to catch the motion. Another reason I like Manual Mode. :)
