Good times in February...

These are all the things we've done this February:

We went to my uncle's house for the superbowl, and Jonas was loving having his hands in his pockets, so I had to get a picture of it. He looks like a mini GQ or something. I love this picture! He's so handsome! I don't really care about the superbowl, but it was nice to be with family and eat yummy food.

Next, my sister left for her mission on the 27th. For some reason, it's a lot more weird to know that your little sister (she's 19) is leaving for 18 months and going to be gone. Way more weird than with my two brothers. So we had to have a sister day before she left. We did some crafts and tried a new recipe. It was so fun. I'm going to miss that girl, but she's going to be an awesome missionary! She has such an amazing spirit about her.

This is one of the crafts we did. My sister, Tiffany, is amazing at crochet, so we made these crocheted owls - because they looked so cute. I love how they turned out. I don't know what I'll do with mine, they're pretty small. I think it would look cute in a nursery so I guess I'll save it when we decided to have another baby.

Us together, holding our owls. They really are small. I love hanging out with my sisters. I want to do it more often. We decided that we are going to have a chick day with all the girls in our family, so that just means my mom and my sister-in-law and then that would be all of us. We're going to have our girls day in a week. Super excited to make crafts and such with all of them. Clint's even taking a personal day so we can get together, and I don't have to worry about Jonas. Such a sweetheart!

Our next craft was these letters/words with yarn wrapped around them. Have some of you seen them on pinterest? Well they turned out really cute. It's just cardboard letters with yarn wrapped around them. They turned out way cute. Don't make fun of me, but I don't really like cutsy type things in my living room. You know, like toll painted wood or stuff like that. I like it to be a sort of modern, contemporary type decor. And these letters are cutsy. But I LOVE cutsy for a baby's room. So that's why my word spells out Damon. If our next baby is a boy, then that will be his name, and it will look super cute up in his baby room. We don't have any girl names picked out, so that's why I did a boy name. I know, I'm weird, I'm not even pregnant, but I'm making things for a next baby.  Otherwise I wouldn't have done this craft with my sisters, and I want to do stuff with them.

We also had family pictures done, with my side of the family, before Jessica left for her mission. I love the family pics and how they turned out, but Jonas was kindof a stinker and didn't want his picture taken, so he isn't smiling in any of them. What do you do? Oh well.

This is the cutest one of our family, and Jonas looks like he's miserable. I think he was cold, and he was tired of being told what to do, and he just wanted to run around and play because he had been sitting in the car for over an hour on the ride up to Brigham, so this is what we get. But Clint and I look great!

Again, he's cute, but he looks like he's had enough.
This is the family picture. I love the color scheme we did. So cute! I love my growing family.

Also, I had two of my friends, an old roommate and my old visiting teaching partner, get pregnant with girls! So I made them these. I saw this idea on pinterest and I wanted to try it. They turned out way cute. I just bought the onesies, and made everything else. The ruffles, flowers and headbands.

And of course I have to include a picture of Jonas. I love that he loves to read books. He learns so much from them. He now knows the word hiccup and what it is thanks to a book. He's learning so much. We'll be doing something and he'll say a word that I didn't know he knew. For instance, when we went outside one day, I told him to be careful because it was slippery. Ever since I told him that one time, whenever he walks on snow and slips, he says "it's slippery", or even if he slips on the kitchen floor he'll say "it's slippery". And he was pushing his stroller around outside just recently and the stroller ran into the snow, and he said "it crashed". I didn't know he knew what that meant. He surprises me each day with the things he says. I love this age. I say that about every stage of his life, but I just love being his mom and I love that I get to be home with him and teach him.

So there you have it. It was a good month. Went by really fast, and I'm excited for March. Jonas turns 2 at then end of it, on Easter day. We have lots of fun stuff planned this month to do, which is much needed because I hate being cooped up inside, luckily it's been pretty good weather lately, but it will be nice to see family, get a little vacation with the hubby and have some fun with Jonas's Birthday.
