Day 285 - Alexis's Newborn pics

I did it. I took Alexis's pictures today. I made sure I had my meds in me, and everything went well. I loved doing it. She was good, too. She slept like a pro, and I had fun interchanging props and poses. But after doing it for an hour or so I was tired and sweaty! I had the space heater on in the room so she stayed warm, but I was dying.

Instead of taking a nap when Jonas napped, I edited the photos. I was too excited about them. I really should have slept because I only got 4 hours of sleep last night, but sometimes photos are too exciting. I really like how they turned out. I decided that my style with newborn photography is keep it simple. I'm not into tons of crazy props like umbrellas or boxes on boxes or chalkboards next to the baby who is on top of a car or whatever. I like to keep the focus on the baby, because that's what you want to see! Enjoy!

This might be my favorite too.

I think this is my favorite.

Which is your favorite? I'm just curious about posing and what kind of poses people like. Let me know!

So I wanted to try some naked poses. I didn't on the others because I was nervous she was going to poop everywhere. She is quite the pooper! But then I felt kindof weird having her diaper off. I mean, I think these pics are cute, but I don't know. What do you think/How do you feel about naked baby pics? Even if you don't see anything?

    1. Gorgeous pics, Stephanie!! Your favorite is my favorite, but I love the first one, too, and the crops on the zoom on the mid-body and the feet. You are so blessed to have developed this talent as your children grow! It will be such a blessing!

  4. I really like the close ups of the little hands and feet, after all they grow up so fast! And you did the no diaper shots very artistic and classy! You nailed them!
